Boys don't like Princess Movies

Me: what do you want to watch for movie night tonight?
Thing 2: Belle!
Thing 1: No princess movies!
Me: why not?
Thing 1: Boys don't like princess movies.
Me: why not?
Thing 1: Because I'm a boy and I can't like those movies
Me: who told you that?
Thing 1: Jason from school said boys don't like princess movies.
Me: so if Jason told you that boys don't like robot movies, would you stop watching them?
Thing 1: but I like robots
Me: Well, I guess you can't watch Star Wars anymore
Thing 1: why not? I like Star Wars
Me: Well, it's a princess movie. Without Princess Leia, we wouldn't have a movie.
Thing 1: that's a very valid argument mommy.

LOL I got my kid to say very valid argument at age 4.
